So far, December has been a great month for DYW Scotland. Recent developments include announcement of a brand new national campaign alongside the ongoing celebration of some of DYW Scotland’s national achievements this year. As we approach the new year, we would like to let our audiences know about some of what will happen across the network in January 2024.
In 2023, DYW Scotland ran four national campaigns including Young People Are Great (#YPAG23), No Wrong Path, A Job For Everybody and Creative Careers Week. We are delighted to be entering into 2024 with a brand new exciting national campaign: Power of an Hour.
The #PowerOfAnHour campaign aims to profile and celebrate the positive impact thatone hour spent on DYW Activity can have on young people and employers alike. We start the year with a focus on the positive impact that mentoring has on young people and their mentors.
November was a great month for DYW Scotland. We made it easier than ever to pledge your support to the Young Person’s Guarantee and we are over the moon with the positive feedback received so far. Many fantastic sessions took place over November, with employers, educators, careers advisors and other professionals who work with young people, learning about Apprenticeships and Careers in Financial Services. One of our flagship DYW Employer Training sessions - Inspiring Young Minds – also took place on Friday 24th November.
