Employer Training Workshops
 Developing the Young Workforce have developed a programme of virtual information and training sessions to support employers in Scotland. The sessions are designed to help you build a workforce with the right skills and experience, whilst putting young people at the heart of what you do. 
Inspiring Young Minds
​Increase your confidence in discussing your industry with a young audience, and gain top tips for planning and delivering activities in schools or colleges.
Delivering Meaningful Work Placements
This training will provide you with support in the delivery of meaningful work placements for young people that offer the best value to your business.

SCQF PARTNERSHIP EMPLOYER SUPPORT RESOURCES (throughout 2024)
The qualifications available to young people in schools in Scotland have changed significantly over recent years.  This is not only allowing our young people to find the type of learning that suits them best, but it is also helping them to develop the skills they need for future employment.  This means, however, that the language we use in recruitment also needs to change if we are to recognise these qualifications and attract applicants with these valuable skills. 
 
The SCQF Partnership offers free support to employers to help them understand the SCQF, level job roles, and use SCQF levels in recruitment rather than specific qualifications.  If you do this, you will benefit from a wider pool of applicants with the right types of skills you need, and you could also become one of our growing family of SCQF Inclusive Recruiters.

climate springboard (throughout 2024)
Climate Springboard is a FREE business support programme for Scottish SMEs from any sector, where you will earn how the transition will impact your business and give you the tools to prepare. ​The next cohort begins on 22nd February 2024, with future cohorts being planned throughout the year. The programme is delivered by the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute in partnership with the Royal Bank of Scotland. It consists of 3 fortnightly online workshops.

What to expect from the programme?
  • An overview of the Scottish net zero landscape.
  • The tools and knowledge to calculate a carbon footprint and develop a carbon reduction strategy inhouse.
  • Actions plans to reduce consumption costs. 
  • The opportunity to meet and learn from likeminded businesses

Who is the programme for?
  • Scottish SMEs from any sector with a turnover roughly between £1m and £25m (if your business exceeds this please reach out as you may still be eligible).

Please download the leaflet (button below) to gain access to the sign-up form. By signing up, you are certifying you meet the criteria for the programme. The forms data will be collected by ECCI and will also be shared with The Royal Bank of Scotland.
