Young people looking to enter the workforce will benefit from £70 million of investment from the Scottish Government.
The Young Person’s Guarantee aims to protect people from the economic impact of COVID-19 by offering every 16-24 year old in Scotland the opportunity of a job, apprenticeship, further or higher education, training programme or volunteering.
Designed and delivered nationally by the Employer-Led DYW network, the DYW Skills Academy is a series of virtual activities and employability experiences. These are ran in collaboration with industry to support young people to build capacity to enter the labour market.
Currently in its second year of delivery, the programme of activity provides a blend of pre-recorded content (“Industry Insight and Skills Sessions”) alongside e-learning, a CV check and a virtual mock interview.
