At DYW Scotland, we believe in the power of an hour. It might not seem like much time, however, the benefits of a one-hour mentoring session are limitless. Help us to share this message and encourage others to develop the young workforce through mentoring young people. We welcome participation from the following groups:
Getting Involved It couldn’t be easier to get involved in #PowerOfAnHour and spread the word about the benefits of mentoring. DYW Scotland welcome a wide range of content including photos, branded images, videos and reels, or written posts and blog articles. We understand that this is a busy time of year so to make things simple, we have created a wide range of templates to support and assist you in sharing your mentoring experience(s), or the experiences of mentors and mentees within your organisation. Check out the campaign page to find image templates and content ideas which have been split into three categories for young people/mentees, mentors and additional content. Expand the categories to find prompts which encourage reflection, alongside square, landscape and portrait/story templates to support you in sharing a wide variety of content to suit you. Once you have used the templates to create a graphic that reflects your mentoring experience(s), or the experiences of mentors and mentees within your organisation, share your content via Instagram, X and LinkedIn on Tuesday 30th January. Make sure you tag @DYWScot on X and Instagram (or @DYW Scotland on LinkedIn), and include the #PowerOfAnHour and #NationalMentoringMonth hashtags to ensure your post reaches us and our audiences. Mentoring Young People; Good Practice for Mentors Would you like to improve your mentoring skills?
