DYW Roadshow November 2022

On Tuesday 8th November 2022, DYW Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian ran DYW Roadshow. This was our second event of its kind this year, and our first ever for Winter Leavers. The event brought together employers, further education, higher education, and training providers with the young people in our region to help them find their next step.

Based on feedback from our previous event in June, DYW Roadshow was a half day event from 9:30am-1:30pm. The event featured around 70 organisations from across the region and welcomed just under 1,000 young people from our mainstream and additional support needs schools.
 
The event was made possible through sponsorship from Baillie Gifford, City of Edinburgh Council and Morrison Construction.
 
96% of exhibitors surveyed said the event was a good investment of their time and 91% were interested in attending similar events in the future.
 
100% of educators surveyed would recommend DYW Roadshow to young people and 75% felt more informed about jobs/careers that exist after attending the event.
