Build Your Future provides young people with the insight, knowledge and skills they need to develop their awareness and experience of Construction and the Built Environment.

Through a blend of online Digital Resources with lesson plans, class talks, and an active challenge, young people can explore the world of construction and built environment with local and national organisations and in their local communities.

Employers can get involved and take a lead role to inform and inspire young people to consider and explore careers in the built environment.

How?

The programme is for young people in secondary school, in particular those in S1 – S3.

We are looking for industry partners and individuals to get involved to inform and inspire young people to consider and explore careers in the built environment. Originally piloted in Forth Valley, the programme is now expanding nationally.

Awareness

Developed by industry experts and partners, these digital resources can be accessed at any time and focus on raising awareness of construction and the built environment. All video content can be accessed via the DYW Scotland YouTube Channel.

Experience

Bringing to life and increasing young people’s awareness of the construction industry through a range of employer led activity.

Action

These sessions have been co-developed by employers and educators, and will help young people to understand and develop the skills required in the construction industry.
