Connect with your Future Workforce this November – Scottish Careers Week and Creative Careers Week

November presents many opportunities for employers and partners to connect with young people, inspiring the future workforce and influencing young people’s career and academic decisions. No matter what sector, explore how your organisation can get involved.

Scottish Careers Week: 10-14th November 2025
Scottish Careers Week returns this year, from 10th – 14th November 2025. Skills Development Scotland (SDS)’s annual campaign aims to highlight a range of careers and pathways to support young people in making informed career choices that align with their interests and abilities.

Last year’s event saw over 800 employers taking part to help ‘shape the future,’ with hundreds of events taking place in schools across Scotland.

Scotland’s Higher and Further Education Minister, Ben Macpherson, highlights the importance of Scottish Careers Week in inspiring the next generation of future talent:

Discover! Creative Careers Week: 10-14th November 2025
Having established previously successful campaigns in the rest of the UK, Discover! Creative Careers have now launched in Scotland.

Whilst the industry-led initiative encourages organisations to get involved throughout the academic year (from now until March 2026), a focused Discover! Creative Careers Week will take place in Scotland from 10th – 14th November, running alongside Scottish Careers Week.

DYW are delighted to work in partnership with Discover! Creative Careers and Into Film, raising awareness of the breadth of roles available within the creative and cultural industries, as DYW Scotland’s National Projects Director, Michelle Fenwick, states:
