SCQF PARTNERSHIP EMPLOYER SUPPORT RESOURCES

The qualifications available to young people in schools in Scotland have changed significantly over recent years.  This is not only allowing our young people to find the type of learning that suits them best, but it is also helping them to develop the skills they need for future employment.  This means, however, that the language we use in recruitment also needs to change if we are to recognise these qualifications and attract applicants with these valuable skills. 
 
The SCQF Partnership offers free support to employers to help them understand the SCQF, level job roles, and use SCQF levels in recruitment rather than specific qualifications.  If you do this, you will benefit from a wider pool of applicants with the right types of skills you need, and you could also become one of our growing family of SCQF Inclusive Recruiters.

Mentoring Young People: Employer Information Session - 10th august, 9am

Mentoring a young person can have a life-changing impact and is an invaluable way for young people to develop the skills, confidence and aspirations they need for their future success. It also raises awareness of your organisation with local young people and schools.

Developing the Young Workforce, in partnership with Career Ready and MCR Pathways, are delighted to invite you to an online information session taking place on Thursday 10th August at 9am.

This 45-minute session will cover:
• The benefits of mentoring for young people and employer
• Hearing directly from employers and young people who have benefited from being involved in mentoring
• Next steps: How you as employers can get involved in national mentoring programmes including Career Ready and MCR Pathways
• Access to free training, provided by Developing the Young Workforce
