Discover Cyber Security Resources for S4-S6 Students
Young people aged 16–18 can now explore cyber security through a set of practical, industry informed learning resources designed for use in the classroom. These activities help educators  and employers work together to build real-world skills, spark curiosity about cyber security careers, and support learners to understand how cyber threats and protections shape everyday life. The materials are flexible, easy to use, and aligned with Scotland’s growing need for future cyber talent.

National Crime Agency - Exploring Cybercrime for ASN pupils
ASN pupils can be vulnerable to online manipulation and exploitation, and may be encouraged to engage in illegal activity without fully understanding the consequences. Designed for learners aged 12 to 16 with additional support needs and/or autism, these fully accessible lessons raise awareness of the risks linked to cybercrime.

Lesson plan, slides and game. Can be used for inperson events too. In Keeping The Lights On pupils act as cyber security analysts and engineers protecting the electricity grid. This introduces some of the basics of data security.

Participants will explore the challenges a country may have when dealing with a national cyber security incident from a non-technical, political, economic social and legal perspective.  Participants will also develop their public speaking and presentation skills to discuss cyber security issues at the highest decision-making levels.

Experience an interactive journey into the world of cybersecurity. Cyberfirst Bursary
CyberFirst offers students a path into the UK’s most exciting and future-proof tech careers – whether you’re just finishing Higher/Advanced HIghers or already at university. With the CyberFirst Bursary, you’ll receive:  £4,000 per year financial assistance; 8-week summer placements (receive at least £2,000 per placement) with leading tech employers; Hands-on training, building real-world experience and confidence
